How to thin provision an exsiting VMWare disk on ESXi without virtual center

Virtualization

1. Login in VMware Esxi Server using putty (SSH)

2. Go to VM directory.

3. # cd  /vmfs/volumes/4dfb1103-9a5de242-b998-001ec9dd7bb1/nucnoemc01

4.  # vmkfstools -i nucnoemc01.vmdk nucnoemc01-thin.vmdk -d 'thin' -a lsilogic
Destination disk format: VMFS thin-provisioned
Cloning disk 'nucnoemc01.vmdk'...
Clone: 100% done.

5. Go and check Database Browser
